After several years of experience in acute medicine, surgery, and radiology, Dr. Ayesha Karunatillake now focuses on General Practice with a special interest in Sports Medicine. With an MBBS, a Master’s in Medicine, and a Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners, Dr. Ayesha brings a comprehensive skill set to her patient care.

Having grown up playing state representative netball and dancing ballet, Dr. Ayesha has a deep understanding of the physical demands of sports and the importance of effective rehabilitation. This background has shaped her approach to musculoskeletal care and athlete rehabilitation, making her a trusted resource for those with both acute and chronic sports-related injuries.

Dr. Ayesha is dedicated to providing holistic care, integrating physical, emotional, and social aspects of her patients’ wellbeing. She collaborates closely with other sports doctors and allied health professionals to deliver tailored, evidence-based treatment strategies for optimal outcomes in musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

She is a member of Sports Medicine Australia and South Australian Sports Medicine Association.
